Worth the upgrade?? XXX eDesigns JBL Alpine

hey guys, i blew my 1200.1 last weekend... my inline fuse melted, and none of the fuses on the amp are blown, but when i turn it on, white smoke pours out of the amp, so i just figured its f*cked and ill get new stuff.

so heres my delima.

im wondering if this is going to be ALOT louder than what i have now (if its not, i may as well just spend 300 and buy a new amp)

My current system (only listing bass, the rest dosent matter, im keeping it)

JBL 1200.1

2 ed15Ks in a 6 cube box tuned to 35hz

im thinking of buying TWO 1200.1s and a XXX15, in a all-out SPL box.

would the extra amp and the upgrade to that massive sub be worth it? im hitting low/mid 140s (142 on a audiocontrol) with the current setup.

asuming that you'll get about 1250 watts from those jbls (they've been underrated from what i've heard and read) that gives you 2500 total to ONE 15.....for comps this will wang like no other //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/inlove.gif.6846f78f06b405429ef3a00129788a2a.gif , should be able to do close to 150 i'd say (since 146 has been easily achieved with 1500watts) for daily driving however (not sure if you'd use it daily driving or not) that is a lot of power for the xxx and overkill if you ask me.... a xxx only needs up too 1800-2000watts for daily and that'd be all the more i'd ever give it daily.....not sure which situation you were planning on using it in...but i'd say not for daily driving......why not 2 hc 15's with the 1200.1's....that'll be louder than your k's for sure....although the xxx should be also...especially with twice the power //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nerd.gif.c6fa51ddf7ff75f1c0371fbc648f70ae.gif
