Worth doing?

I was thinking of taking the bezel from behind my speaker and replacing it with one I would make that would cause the speaker to sit at more of an angle, firing it up and back rather than straight at my feet. I drive a Tahoe, btw.

I hate having the speakers blasting at my feet, but I wonder if there would be much benefit from doing this? I don't know if it's been done or if there is already a prefabricated bezel I could buy. I was just going to make one that was a bit higher on one end. I can modify the trim panel as needed to make it fit. I don't mean making the speaker sit too far out. Maybe

Before anyone suggests it, I have thought of kick panels. A. I don't like the idea because I know they'll end up getting stepped on, and B. I'll probably end up getting them later anyway for my second set of speakers I'll be installing in the future.

Thoughts?

You'll probably see better imaging by doing so. How much better? I couldn't really tell you. You could build some small boxes and move them around to see what angle and direction combination seems to work best.

Since you're going to make kick panels in the future, I wouldn't bother tearing into your doors again. Might be good learning experience, though.

Similar idea. Mine would be on the door module behind the trim panel, pointed back a bit more. Also, the tweet would stay in the position I have it now (widened the factory position)
