Worst Song Ever?

Mapex Mars Custom Series Kit (6-PC)Sabian AAX & AA Cymbals - 2 Splash / 3 Crash / 2 Rides / 2 China

All Tama Hardware

Tama Iron Cobra Double-Kick w/ Nylon Drive

Remo Tom Heads / Aquarian Snare Head (only way to go IMO)

thats what I got set up right now, I had a thing going with sabian for awhile if you couldnt already tell...that was nice, but now Im just a hobby drummer...kinda.
Actually, make that a 6 piece set, i kinda added(half-assed added) another tom onto the set. My cymbols are 1 crash and 2 splash. Have 2 bass drums too, but getting rid of the second one(doesn't sound quite the same as the other one) and gonna go for a double bass pedal. How do you like the iron cobra?

My neighbor(probably one of the best drummers i've heard) has a nasty habit of breaking sabian cymbals. It's cool though because he has like 5 extra cymbals and a another whole drum set. I should get a pic of his main set. It's badass.

IMO you cant beat sabian in terms of quality, sound, price, anything...as long as your not buying the B8 line or whatever those pieces of shite are. The AAX's hold up great for me, and I beat the crap out of those things...but then again, I have broken them before...if you hit something with a stick long enough its bound to break.

And as for the iron cobra! get it man...its the best double kick i have ever played on. if you can get the nylon drive, i would recommend that over the chain...its a lot more smooth and responsive.

If you ever have any questions about drums, feel free to ask...ive been doin this for about 16 years now...(not trying to sound like an ***, just offering my help if you want it)

Got any links to the nylon drive ones? I tried http://www.musiciansfriend.com, and they only had 1 belt drive, and it got shitty ratings. I was looking at the iron cobra chain drive ones, and they look pretty sweet too. But i'll take your word that the nylon is better. Shit, you've been playing drums almost as long i've been alive?

Yeah, i can go to a couple. There is a guitar center on my way home, and another guitar place. I can check them out.

I would recomend going to smaller mom and pop type stores if you have any. Go in, bullshit with the owner, get to know them and build a good relationship as a customer...thats where the deals are IMO.

Yeah, i can do that too. I'll just go to guitarcenter and check everything out, try out some shit, and get the feel for some stuff. I like mom and pop places, even though sometimes you gotta pay more. I like the feeling that i'm a friend to them, rather than go to a big store, and just be seen as a walking dollar sign.

I dare both of you to play Metallica's "Dyer's Eve" on drums //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

edit: my partner at the station likes to leave lovely messages on my name while I am playin and not paying attention.

I'm sure you could play most/all of their early stuff (pre-Master of Puppets) but.. well I don't know how good you are.. Dyer's Eve is just impossible though.

You must of missed everything they did between Ride The Lightning and ...And Justice For All.. give And Justice For All (the album) a listen some consider it the most musically proficient album in metal/rock.. and all of it coming from a garage band who had no formal musical training

Composers (Micheal Kamen, others) compare some of their early work to bach and mozart...
