Worst night in recent memory

So i drive up to fullerton to meet a fellow ca member that was gonna buy 2 kicker comps off me, i had them running in my car yesterday both working fine and when i go to show them they work one is blown. i am like what ever sorry to waste ur time and i give him the good sub and the sealed box for only 20 bucks,felt bad that one of the subs was blown so let it on the cheap. dude leaves i wire my setup back up turn on my car and my amp goes in protect as i am driving. so i stop and amp is way overheated, checked fuses and they all ok but amo still in protect sooooooo gay cuz i just bought three dd 1008a's to put in the trunk and now no amp to power them....

silver lining: wife approved getting a new amp so time to upgrade power!

sub blown hooked up to dmm and it was going crazy

amp might be ok... maybe the blown sub just made it go into protect. unplug the sub then turn the car on and see what happens.

sub was already disconected when it went into protect but i will look everything over tomorrow but think it is cooked

this morning woke up put the fuses back in and the amp was no longer in protect mode, but there was a whineing sound coming from the amp, no output, and after only about a minute it was already burning hot. anyone ever have this happen to them or know whats wrong or how to fix it?
