Installing headunit into kit

Well after a long time of having a headunit in a mounting kit with broken clips that shook around with the bass, I decided to purchase a new mount kit.

This one to be exact

This one is differnt than my other one. Its for of a flush mount while my other one, from best buy, made the unit stick out a little so I put this plastic trim piece around it to clean it up. WELL, also with the old one i had to put two plastic clips that came with the kit on the side of the headunit to hold it in place on the sides of the mount, While this new one just has the hole for the headunit and came with some little plasting thing, It looked like a spacer or something. But the instructions it came with said that i needed the metal covering that came with the headunit and some brackets which i think i saw back when i bought the unit. Key word, i think. It shows some L shaped brackets and whatnot. That are supposed to be secured to the rear of the unit. I assume with this new mounting kit that the way you put the headunit in is attached to the mount, all at once, Not like the old one when i put the mount in then slid the unit into place.. Anyone know what i can do? Or know of anyone with the stock mounting brackets that come with the sony headunit. My hu is in my sig if that helps anyone
