Same thing to a friend of mine when she ordered a Punch HE2 and a Punch 400 from Etronics.com the speaker she got had freaking speaker wire on it already and it had scuff marks on the surround as for the amp minor scratches. But everything worked.

IMHO, if you buy new, it dang sure better be 'new'...just my $.02

 
Not to piss you off more, but youre going to have to pay like $30 just for the "pleasure" of returning it.
I would demand a call tag, then it only cost them....their mistake...but if they decline, you are correct...then the poster will have to pay, and probably wait one-two more weeks.

Well, I wasnt even referring to the price of shipping it back. (I think thats what you are referring to?). I was talking about the $29 return fee they charge IN ADDITION to the shipping price. Screw Ikesound, i dont know if i am wrong or not, but my Directed 1100d blew some transistors after few minutes only, and it was a refurbished amp. Also i saw some welding marks inside the amp just where the transistors blew, so the same transistors were replaced before, thus the problem is not in the transistors, something else is causing them to blow=> i am ****ed for good lol. I live in the midle east, so i cannot ship the amp back to USA, in my country if i wanna buy the two ClarionAPA4320 to power two 15" clarion subs, i will pay about 800US$ for the two amps:( I will bridge every two channels to one coil of the sub.

My amp blew up then fried my type R thank god for warranties!

 
wow. IKES come highly recommended. I hope they get back to you soon.

I ordered a Orion 8004 refurb off them and two **** weeks later I get it (last night) the corner of the box was torn open and the mounting bracket on the corner of the amp was sticking out. there was some scratches on the mounting tab and it was bent slightly. other than that the amp is in perfect visual condition. infact I would think it was brand new if not for the tab. Now UPS tried to give it to me like that without showing the damaged box. The UPS driver wouldn't note down that there was damage at all and just left. I happen to be a shipping manager and just called my Rep. for UPS and I'm gonna make sure that driver gets hers.

Also IKES did a terrible job packing the amp. they put it in a box thats a little too big with a foam insert on either end of the amp and then packed the box with "peanuts" well the amp is heavy and the peanuts are lite so it only stands to reason that the amp was moving around in the box and then tore through the corner of the box. I informed IKES about this and I can only hope they take steps to pack their product better. In the end it will make customers happier and they will have less RMA's to deal with. I doubt they will change their shipping methods but I informed them in the nicest way possible. NOW I can only hope that my amp is in good working order as I will not be hooking it up for another month or two atleast.

I plan to order one more amp from them because their prices are so low. I hope the next one comes intact.
