Worried about overpowering my IDMAX's

Hi guys

I have (4) 12" IDMAX's and also a couple od Zenon built amps that I got directly from Zenon themselves. The specs arent a specific brand currently in production in North America, but the specs, size etc. are simliar to a beefier SAZ-1500D or a IA 20.1. Birth sheet shows 2200watts @ 1ohm for each amp.

Since the maxes are quite sensitive, Im worried about running too much power to the subs. Ill be using 1 amp for 2 subs.

Any tips on how to be careful not to damage my subs ??

THX!

I would be worried,IDMAX's do not like overpowering or clipping....They are definatly not what I would classify as durable-on the other hand they sound pretty good, while they last

I have seen more

"I blew my IDMax" threads more than any single woofer ...

Yeah, I reading similar things. However, i wont be entering in any comps in the near future. Basically want some pounding bass in my daily driver

i thought they ran on 1000 pretty good? and youll be runnin 1100 a piece. between your HU voltage and battery voltage you will probably not hurt them. go for it

they are great subs. Many people blow their idmax because they don't know what they're doing. plain and simple. treat and sub right, and it should last you a loooong time.

I would aim for ~700-800w per Idmax.

These also are the type of subs where you'll need gobs of power to get them going. They are efficient. they can get loud w/ less watts, which is a plus. you won't need to brag about how much power you're wasting like others do here.
