Starting a work-log for this install, my buddy just picked up a 99 Mercury Sable and he has decided that he wants to put a nice sound system in it. His budget is limited to $1500 and he came to me for some help. I picked out a bunch of parts for him and now we are waiting on everything to get shipped so we can start the install.
Heres a list of what will be going in--->
-Modded MTX 1501D
-2 12inch Alpine Type R's
-Stinger 1/0 wiring kit
-1/0 wiring from weldingsupply
-Raamat Sound deadening
-Eclipse CD3000
-Kicker DS coaxials
He is waiting till later on this summer to run a set of components up front because he is a little short on cash.
We picked up the amp off ebay for $340 shipped and received it 2 days later in mint condition. It wasn't modded when we bought it so I decided to mod it myself, the process can be found here---->http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=162353
Still waiting on more parts to come but I will keep all you guys updated as we go.
As of right now he has spent $900 on everything but theres still a few things that we haven't got yet. Waiting to see if a new alternator will be necessary and possibly a battery, plus some RCA's and fuses.
