This was kind of a "hurry up" box, so there are some rough edges. Alex talked to me monday night about making him a box, I got a tad done Tuesday because I had to help a friend move, so I pretty much built this box in ~5 hours... which is pretty quick for a non-pro like me

Anyhow, it's 4.28 @ 34 for a pair of RE MXes, which will be powered by a Kicker ZX2500.1.

Alex will be getting it carpeted later, so I did the little groove thingy that PV Audio so helpfully posted about. Thanks, mang!

so those are your old subs we're putting in there? I've always wanted to mess with an MX since they're such interesting subs. Honestly, those MXes might could blow this box to bits since it's only one layer of 3/4" MDF. Becuase of space requirements, he couldnt fit a double baffle or anything. We'll see.

yes those are my old babies...they are some of the nicest subs ever...no double baffle? hmmm, that's not a great idea, hopefully they don't eff up...because i had an issue with one of them where the box did start to crack...we'll see...

Yeah, it could only be 17" tall, and to go any smaller would've put him at ~3.5 after moofa displacement. He wanted as much airspace as possible. All I could do in the time I had as far as bracing is the brace between the holes. Feels solid, though.

Oh, and the caulk is messy because I used that spray shit in a can for the first time... Never ever use that stuff. it's messy as hell and a pain in the *** to use.

Whats with the piece in the middle? Bracing? Should have used wooden dowels, or at least used skeleton bracing...Nice work

Yeah, it's just a piece of MDF for bracing. I wouldve loved to do skeleton bracing, but I was out of wood big enough to do that.
