Sorry a$$ factory bose 10" sub:

amp location:

Thanks all for your help, i will continue to update the work progress!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/toast.gif.bc0657bf54b9ee653b6438524461341e.gif

For the amp signal, the factory HU put out a low signal to the factory bose amps, I will just tap into that will RCA's for the new amp. I thought about a line driver from audiocontrol, but at this time, I'll just wait and see how thing goes. btw, what's the cleansweep? by jl?

Updates. Pics..

-Kicker zx700.5 birthsheet:

Although it saids 'Maximum Power Rating', many believe it actually RMS, either way I was supposed to get 700W.

-Arsenal 12" vs stock Bose 10":

I hope the new system vs stock system is like the difference with these 2 subs!

I got the amp installed already, I am finishing the connection to the factory amp for signals and move on to the fiberglass box! I guess it another busy day. More pics to come....

Updates after 12 hrs of work!

I tried splicing my RCA to tap into the low output of the factory HU. Used the center of the RCA and + and the outer copper as (-). I am having problem with the amp being cutoff on and off. So I think my RCA splicing will not work.

Next, I am gonna stop by Radioshack and pick up the 'speaker wires to Phono jack'. Speaker wire will tap into the factory HU outputs, the Phono jack will connect to RCA and then to amp. I hope this will solved my signal problems. Otherwise, last resort is to use a david navone LOC.

Man, for about a few mins that I got the left and right channel to work, the sound from the 6.5" Rainbows component was awesome, can't wait to get the signals work out and the sub install! Anyhow, bed time for a another long day 2morrow, oh here's a couple more pics:

-kicker installed in headrest area, left side is power, ground, and remote. Right side is RCA and speakers wires, xover will be mounted here as well:

-knukonceptz 4 awg power wire and fuse with black loom:

this is hard work man, but I am enjoying every minute of it, although there were times when I wanted to f%cking knock my car out cause I had to use the stupid factory HU!

Updates:

Bought the RCA to speaker wires from Radioshack. Still having problems, the amp goes in and out of protection if both R and L channels are connected.

Think I will goes with my last resort and buy the LOC, hopefully that will solve my signal issues.

loc should only be a couple bucks. i bought one off ebay for like $5 or $10 shipped. let us know how the aa performs, im debating whether or not to buy one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

So I assume that you got everything to work. How does the sub sound with the Kicker pushing it? I have the same amp and was wondering what others thought.
C
Yup, got everything working. My box is rather small for the Arsenal 12" (~1ft^3) sealed. But I am happy with how it sound, clean and decent output. Compliment the 6.5" Rainbow SLC very well.

Only problem I've with the amp is heat dissipation, because of space, I've it installed in a factory enclosed location, so not alot of air flow, if I play it long enough, like over 1 hr straight, the amp goes into protection. It more b/c of the install than the amp.
