My driving test was insanely easy.

But that's mostly because I had to pass my dad's informal test first, which involved parallel parking his '91 F-150 on a hill...in traffic...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif And other devious things, like parking up a hill and balancing between the clutch and accelerator so you just rock back and forth without actually going anywhere. That's maddening the first hundred times you do it or so, heh.

The DMV test was just a circle around town and backing up 100ft in a straight line...no parking, no hills, and we did a three point turn in the DMV parking lot, so there was no traffic to contend with.

If you get to go driving alone immediately after getting your first license then I'd say you were pretty lucky.
What my dad did to my older sister and I (which left me no room to complain when it happened to me 'cause he did it to her first) was that for the first six months after getting our license we were only allowed to drive with either Mom or Dad in the car with us. After the six months "probation" so long as there were no mishaps we were then allowed to drive solo.

It kinda sucked back then but now that I'm no longer a teenager I do have to admit I see the logic in what they did.

I'm not trying to bag on you so please don't take this as such...

Having a license that allows you to legally operate a motor vehicle does not equate to 'knowing how to drive.' There are plenty of things I can guarantee you know little to nothing about that only time and experience can possibly teach you.

I failed my first driving test (not surprising). The proctor frowned upon not stopping at a stop sign and darting in front of another car. So strict these days, I tell ya...

Congrats on the license though. Be careful.

Congrats. Took me the second time to get my license to do th elady being a *****. When i backe dup out of the spot she said that my rearend of the car shouldnt be in the other lane so she failed me. Second time i got it. I already had a truck i bought a 93 s-10. As soon as i got home i had to drive to school, was kinda scared cause it was the first time i drove a clutch by myself, but i prevailed. But it was all good. Good luck to you man, be careful oout there, down here in florida there is such a risk in driving its not even funny.
