very efficient and loud (till it gets hot, but that takes quite a while.... normally over an hour)

any electro magnet produces heat... neodium has a lower currie temp than ferrite (what most sub magnets are made of)... the currie temp is when the magnet starts to lose strength due to the heat

so the trade off is strength for heat resistance

Oh so does that mean run less RMS to them? I'm not too familiar with Neo.

no... but they start too lose efficency after a while... (an hour + of full tilt playing in my experience) not really an issue like alot of ppl on here make it out too be, but it does happen... eventually

Ok. Well I like the big ferrite magnets, they look awesome on some of the bigger subs on the market. But that Critical Mass sub is awesome looking. I wish I could afford it.
