you're probably thinking of the way it's prepared... absynthe is horribly bitter tasting so they sell spoons that have holes in them that hold sugar cubes. you dip the spoon and cubes in some absynthe, light it on fire and pour it over the flaming cubes into glasses...

and wormwood and thujone is illegal (the active ingredient) so you can't get "true" absynthe in the US...

exactly. ive already found places that will sell it and ship it to the US. but just to be on the safe side, ill just have my boy joe whos stationed over in frankford, germany to make a lil trip and get me a bottle, then ship it back. i just dont wanna get the wrong stuff. btw, the site i was on did say they used milk ice cubes...i dunno, thats just what it said
