Woohooo ATLAS 15's are HERE!!!

Well, my Ascendant Audio Atlas 15's came in today, in record time. Only 2 days shipped to Louisiana from IL through Fed Ex. One more positive check for AA. Anyhow, I'll be building my box tomorrow. 2.25^3 per speaker sealed.

I asked on another thread. If anyone has experience with the larger cabins of SUV, can you tell me which positioning of the woofer worked best for you. Chad at Ascendant said it would probably work best with the subs facing upward or to the rear of the vehicle. Any suggestions are welcomed. Even downfiring, since I can make the box how I choose.

Wow, these are really nicely constructed speakers. Very solidly built and nice looking, too. Maybe not 80 lbs like some of the others out there, but still hefty. Some may like the carbon fiber, some may not, but overall, they are a simple, classy-looking woofer. I can only pray that the sound is as elegant and refined.

Can't wait to post some pics and reviews. Anyone else bought Ascendant recently? How have they performed for you?

Wow, just can't stop looking at them. I can't wait to get them in.

I got 2 15's upfiring in my Xplorer. After experimenting with a different box that backfired, it sounds much better upfiring because of less noise from the back of the hatch. I put the port hole facing the back. You can check pics the pics.... crappy positioning, sorry.

same here i got 6 power hx2 15's in bandpass and i got my port facing up...takes pressure off the window but makes your roof look like water

its hard to see my camera was messed up...the first pic is my amprack thats mounted on the back of my box and the port is on top and it go's across most of my box(so i can see out my back window)

Well, in my van...firing backwards towards the rear doors worked the best.
