Which is why I think you and 6speed are the future of B & Ms. You get to play both customers. I would much rather e-mail back forth oover a couple days than go to a shop because of my work schedule. By accomondating me and my schedule like yall do, you get more business. I applaud this and I think many other forum members do as well, even if they aren't as vocal about it.

I try and give my customers the best service I can, and I try to stay very current with whats going on around me. It is hard sometimes in a small southern town like this. There are 4 other shops in town and they are what the forum would call a normal local dealer. To my local competition its JL, Alpine, Memphis, Rf or nothing. They put down some of the products we sell(RE and Image Dynamics) because they have never heard of them, but it is starting to come back and bite them in the ***. We also host DB Drags and go to all the regional comps. We get involved in what our customers want and support the industry. I still have allot of fun, its not just about the $$$. I will spend my money where I get the best ratio of Cost and Customer service. Im not going to buy from a B&M if they are 50 dollars more expensive, and offer the same waranty, and have similar customer feedback.

I understand where you B&M guys are coming from, Cost of operation is ALOT higher for you guys. But the economy is shifting towards an online marketplace...Same deal that happened in the early 20th century with growth of business in rural areas and the fall of the "Mail Order Catalog"

Sorry, it may be speculation , but It follows the general attitude of the members of this forum. For example, most members of this forum would rather buy online than from a B&M.

I am not saying that $1000 dollars is not allot for a sub(I will never own one), but when you consider a sub that size with all custom parts (coil, basket, top plate, magnet slugs, etc.), its not unreasonably high($1000 that is).
