That's probably close to their price as well. Perhaps you missed this handy little snippet:

They are required to advertize at MSRP but sell well below that.

the nearest local dealer to me is like 8hrs away... if i wanted re (which i dont) im not driving 8hrs for a set of subs..... its a smart move on re's part to allow woofersetc. to sell them..Alot more coverage that way...

I think it is great too, for exposure and to allow people like you that otherwise couldn't get RE to get the product. But I think if you have a local dealer that actually tries a little(selling below retail), you should give them a shot. I also think their should be territorial restrictions on INTERNET sells, just like the territorial restrictions imposed on us B&Ms.

For once, me an ga12r agree. I actually agree with the territory thing. I don't have a local RE dealer, but some of my local dealers are jackasses who don't respect anyone running other than what they carrry. (And no, I don't ask them to install, but I do buy accessories there)

well lets see should i drive 3 hours one way for an re dealer or buy online? then i don't even know if there is an re dealer in the entire state

and i go for the best price. if the shop sells it cheaper then i buy it at the shop
