Wood Slap

I see a lot of people doing double layers of mdf on the sub side of the box. I didn't do that for the box I have now, but am thinking about it for the box I'm about to start.

But with the two peices of wood touching, how would I keep them from slapping. Just a lot of screws and glue, or is there something else that needs to be done?

should be fine. i never use screws, just plenty of wood glue, and never had an issue.

Slapping??? How the hell did you deduce that? It's two pieces of wood glued/screwed together, it's not going to "slap" champ.
Up until about a month ago I would never have asked, but one of my friends failed on a box. When we tore it down, we found that the front two pieces were going at it with each other.

i use clear fingernail polish and brush it on all the ends, holds my boxes together and i have won many comps, my slap slaps 175db, i make quasi-loaded double humpback 6th order isobaric bandpass folded horn transmission line boxes

Sounds interesting, wanna build me a box? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
