wood experts, please, right this way

I have made some towers and build xoxers ect....and put em in mdf box, and thought of some exotic wood too, the one thing holding me back I'd the wood dryn out n cracking or stress point, thing in real wood, but I just did a high end auto paint for first pair. Its a TL design and its a lot of wood to have it crack on you....spent years making custom hope chest ect...I'm looking at book shelfs out of granite next

Trying to build a box out of an exotic hardwood is a waste of money, and actually an inferior approach to MDF or void-free plywood. Hardwoods will not be void-free.

do high end HT companies use veneers or what
