ok so i got this little problem with my system...basically, when ever i turn the actual subs on a decent level, there is now static/crackling throughout my whole system pretty much it seems, whenever the subs are off it sounds fine so its not my HU or the speakers, i just replaced my RCA's so those are good, its a new HU, all my wiring is proper, anyone got an idea??? holla!

Have you checked your ground return resistance? Should be less than one ohm. Also, it could simply be you have a defective subwoofer amp.

Did you upgrade your battery terminals? This happend to me the other day but it was in my speakers, when i took the neg terminal off i pushed it under a part in my engine so it wouldn't contact the battery and my ground came loose from the terminal a little bit, tightened it and the cracking noise went away. It sounded like a metal dectector noise, i would check to make sure all your grounds are all good

ok so im still stuck, i took it to a shop, they charged 45 for labor and 20 for a noise filter, only to find out after that that didn't fix it, actually it almost got worse. it is coming from all my speakers... i think it could be just my speakers that are going bad or something... i checked all of the above and it there is still static through my speakers when my subs are bumpin, so please anyone with an idea... shed it.

-p.s. the shop that i took it to, when they installed the noise filter, they put it on the back of the head unit, and out of the back of the filter were 2 BARE wires that they didn't even put electrical tape around, they just shoved it in there like i wouldn't notice... that pissed me off. i then moved it to the back of my amp. if none of you people have ideas or i cant fix it im going to have to take it back to them and i will have them fix it for free, since i already paid and it didn't work. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

ground looped my rca outputs on the back of my HU, problem solved.
