WMA and MP3 on the same disc?

Can all HU's play WMA's and MP3's on the same disc all mixed together if they are WMA/MP3 compatible? Or onyl certian ones?

if the formats aren't compatible, the hu won't be able to skip them and you can't go through the whole cd. but if you have a newer headunit, then yes it should play both formats.

Yeah I mean would a "Mp3/WMA" Compatable deck play both formats on the same disc or does the whole disc have to be the same format.

if it's mp3/wma compatible then i don't see why it wouldn't play the disc.

maybe your h/u sucks or something because my low end 04 alpine skips whatever it wont read perfectly fine

well if your cd is mp3 and it doesn't read mp3, then it just detects it as one looooooooooooooooong track and can't skip it.

you gonna find that the older HU's play wma files and mp3 files as long as the wma files were ripped with windows media player 9.0 if you ripped them with wmp 10 the HU will not recognize the format. However if it is a newer HU you should not have any problems reading mix cds (this includes files ripped with wmp 10)
