I wouldn't have sent the check with the letter. I woulda waited for a response before sending them the dough. My old landlord did that shyt when I moved out last time. He claimed i cracked a toilet and stained a carpet when they were both like that when I moved in. Kept my $650 deposit. But I got him back: he hadn't cashed my last months' rent check so I canceled it on him.
