is it better to have a divider between the two subs?? its just a simple 2 cube box.. if i were to divide them, i would have to have 2 terminal cups on the outside of the box, right?? how would i get those two cups to present a 1ohm load at my amplifier??

Well, you would wire them to the terminals the same way you would without them. If they are dual coice coil subs then you have to wire the voice coils together properly inside the box and to the terminals then wire the terminals.

However, I am not a fan of the terminals. I prefer to run the wire into the box through a hole and seal the hole after running the wires into the box. As for separate chambers...that is up to you. If you do, you lose a bit of space. Not a big deal if you have plenty of room to work with.

its your preference on the chambers, some people use it to divide there subs. others use it for bracing. and for the terminal cups, i also prefer cunokyle's way. just drill a hole and run the wires through, and then seal off the hole with caulking of something around the wire

To me, the seperated chambers sound better, subs seem to sloppy when in the same chamber, unless they are far enough apart (8+ inches for any 12+ subs). Some people think they sound better in a single chamber. Your desicion.

i do not make 2 chambers however if its a large baffle and im not puting a double baffle i put like a 4in piece next to the baffle which is connected to the top and bottom so it supports the baffle.

another advantage to dividing the chambers is that you will be able to tell if one of the woofers fails. if the signal is lost to a speaker in its own enclosure then it will cease to move at all, whereas in a dual compartment the working speaker will continue to drive, quite inefficiently, the handicapped speaker. this is how i have my sealed box setup, with volume compensation for the additional MDF.
