wiring

i have a 96 lincoln town car and i have a pretty good idea on how to install everything. i have one question about the power wire going from the battery to the trunk though ( not sure what its called). could you take the wire and put it under the car then drill a hole in the trunk and feed the wire through there to the amp? i would feed the power cord through some kind of protective tubing to protect from water and everything on the road. good idea or bad idea?

You can do what me and my friend did for his when we ran his under his car use a platic tubing then once u get it all ran silicone the ends where the wire comes out that way u get no water in it. did the same thing with neon's under the ride of his.

I prefer to go through the firewall, less chance of damage from rocks / debris, but if you absolutely must go under the vehicle, garden hose makes a nice flexible protector. Just make sure it's dry, then silicone both ends so that water and muck can't get in.

ok thanks. its not that i CANT go through the firewall, its just i figured go under the car because it just seems easier to me because of not having to tear up the carpet and the backseat. but i may be wrong.
