wiring woes 4/8ohm diaster help a must

I know, it was corny......but I couldn't resist.

not yet 2 years on a house amp and i took them to be ran on a 200 watt rms....the type E's rms rating....they took it fine...even wore the amp a lil....

but in town there is a audio store with a complete pass filter highs/mids/lows

Why? Your drawing more power from the amp than it was made to handle...the less resistance the amp "sees" the more power it puts out...if you keep doing it your going to break your amp due to heat failure and also possibly start a fire. if you have two of those alpine subs than you can make it work but you will have to wire them in series... http://www.eatel.net/~amptech/elecdisc/spkrmlti.htm.

and you will need a low pass crossover this is the one i just bought...

it's a two way but you can just use the low pass part of it

i dont know if this is as good as you can do for a 100 bucks or so i didnt look around a lot. I was surprised to learn that places like best buy and circuit city dont sell crossovers anymore. they said it was cause the newer amps have better crossovers.
