wiring with 5 gauge....

you might want to upgrade to better wiring in the future, I know I do. But for daily driving its all I really need. Its not like it wont work with 5 guage wiring or anything.
all i will need it for is daily, and its not blaired up for longer than a min or 2 anyways usually less than half way

 
go for it.. the difference between 4awg and 5awg is like a hundred or so strands of wire.
Strand sizes aren't all the same, so there's really no way to say for sure. What can be said though is that 5 ga is 20% smaller in cross-sectional area than 4 ga., but still that should be fine for a class d 1200w rms daily driver.
