wiring up highs need help!

i'm having my highs and mids put on an amp. so wouldnt if i do that the cd player amp not be used anymore? if so can i hook up more speakers to the cd players internal amp as well as have the ones on the amp?

because im wiring speakers up in the bed of my truck and was goin to wire a cut off switch and use the internal amp instead of wiring another amp up
