Throwing the amp in my new HHR.

Battery is in the back so the run would be less than 5 feet to where I will have the amp rack.

What size wire and what size fuse set up should I install. I know the amp will take 0 gauuge but for the watts can I run 4 gauge without issues?

Thanks

It helps if you tell us what RMS your amp will be at the ohm you'll be running it.
4x 100 at 4ohms

1X 600 at 1 ohm

Both are at 12 volts so should be a tad more with the car on.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I take it you're running 2 amps? 1 @ 400 and 1 @ 600? A 4g line should be good with 120amp fuse.
1 amp

Might as well be two... the freaking thing is huge!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

So either 0 or 4 gauge and 120 amp fuse:)

Thanks

Where is the best place online to score wire and RCA's?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

no onboard fuse on that amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif i own one.

I am using 1/0 fused at 250a to a distro then beaks off using 4awg to the amp fused with a 150a fuse iirc
