So I bought a five channel amp (Rockford fosgate r600x5) for my 4 6x9’s and a sub. My aftermarket head unit only has 4 channels. I want to add an rca out for my sub. I’ve seen line out converters, so would i need one and if so how would i go about wiring it? If there is another way to solve this issue I’d be happy to hear it.
(my amp rating is in a photo below)
My 6x9’s run 70w rms (300w peak)
Sub runs at 250w rms (500w peak)
my next issue is wiring my 4ohm 6x9’s to make a 2ohm load for each pair. I know I’d have to parallel them but the issue is that the negative and positive are already soldered (photos below). I don’t know how i need to wire them with the speaker wire to connect them to the amp because I’m not using the factory harness. I’m new to car audio and this is my first project which is why I run into so many issues. I just want to have everything in order before I take anything apart.
