Wiring to Sundown 1500. 2 Ohm?

Alright, so I have 2 dual 4 ohm subs. The Sundown has 2 sets of + and - connections on the amp (mono amp). My question is, can I wire my subs individually at 2 ohms each, then plug each sub into the amp to get the amp to run at 2 Ohm?

yes, its internally bridged Dual 2 ohm is actually 1 ohm. I have 2 dual 1 ohm sub wired in series 2 ohm into each sub outlet, and it sees 1 ohm

The outputs of the SAZ1500D are internally paralleled. The positives are combined, and the negatives are combined.

If you connect two 2ohm loads to the output terminals, the amp will be seeing a final load.

why not just run it at 1ohm?

because I have some of the older MMATS Procast that are 700 watts peak. I'm porting them, so I figured I would try and run only 400 a piece to them to make them last a little longer.

just set your gain correctly and you will be fine
