Wiring to subs question!

Okay, im getting ready to reinstall my subs and amp into my other car, and got to thinking about the wiring from my amp to my box, and my box to my subs and thought that maybe i should upgrade it. Im running an alpine MRV-1507 amp to 2 memphis audio m-class DVC 12's. I think the wiring that goes to the subs now is 12 AWG, which is entirely too small imo, but i thought maybe someone on here would have some knowledge to shre with me.

Really? cuz the amp puts out like 900w RMS @4ohm bridged... which is how theyre set up. So it can handle 450w RMS?

easily. I ran my Viper with 12 gauge at .5 ohm(so about 1200-1300 watts) to some 187's and they did just fine.

whew good... cuz ireally dont wanna take my subs out again... i took em out so i could re-seal the corners of the leaky sealed box, and after i put em back in i thought about if i had to change the wores or not....
