what happens if you take the wire from your amplifier that hooks up to your sub, and you plug them in the opposite of the right way??

you mean flip the phase? it will move the opposite way it was before...

not much, you're just changing the polarity/phasing.

if you have two woofer and change just one you'll be out of phase and it'll sound like $hi+

i dont want to do this i just want to know if mine are hooked up properly or not because, the subs seems to be heating up to fast
