i just bought a profile 400sx amp (waiting to send money off) and will be running tow 12" pioneer impp 450w how should they be wired

also i will now be running to amps the profile and a pioneer should i run two seperate power supplies or one 4 gauge that is split in two 8 gauge wires to each amp

first off we are going to need alot more info....like are the subs dvc or svc their power handeling......how much power each amp puts out at all given ohm ratings......and i'd say run one 4ga power and split it to 2 8ga outputs assuming your amps are not extremely large power........get us that info and we'll see what we can come up w/ for ya

id say run ur profile at 2 ohms, me and craig may debate about that but why not?also would do the 4 split into 8 gauge. use both of your rca outputs instead of piggybacking them.

i wouldnt suggest mounting the amps to ur trunk lid, i dont have a particular reason, i just wouldnt.

make sure your pioneer has a crossover that will block out the bass, no sense in sending bass to speakers that arnt supposed to get it

actually, i would daisy chain them together. Go through the pioneer first, and set it on the high pass filter. This will allow it to use what HZ's you have it set at, then it will pass along the lower HZ to the Profile. Then on the profile, u can use that crossover to a specific HZ area.

Yea, dont mount them on the trunk lid either. Extreme vibrations can do weird things to amps, or so i have heard.

wont setting the pionner to high pass block out lower hz and not pass them through at all?cause it would just block the lower signal and be done with it, sense thats what a crossover does. i was understanding that by using a crossover it will block the un wanted frequencies before they were amplified, that way u arnt amplifing un wanted frequencies.

i might be wrong because im not sure if the lower hz are passed through some other way anyway although it would be switch to high pass.

but even if i am wrong i would still use both pre amp outputs(like i said me and craig may differ)

im not positive, im pry wrong, but we really can know until we start tryin stuff.

1 suggetion

just let me and craig do it trent, so u dont do sometin stupid and break somethin
