Wiring question for an 03 Dodge Stratus

Hey.

I will be wiring a single sub into an 03 dodge stratus soon and I may encounter a problem. The only way I can see to access the battery is under the driver side wheel well(yea, i know it's weird, that's where it tells me to look in the owners manual).

However under the hood there is a "jump-start location" that has a power hookup, used obviously for hooking up jumper cables and giving or receiving a jump. So, would it be a bad thing to hook up the amp power to that point? Should I just find a way to wire it to the virtually inaccessible battery? Thank you

If I remember correctly it is just a few screws to pop off the whole air intake assembly and then you can reach the battery terminal, thats where you want to make your connection

I take it the 2003 looks a lot different than the 2004...
