My SETUP:

In a 99' Cadillac De'Ville -

1x - Rockford Fosgate 1 farad cap

2X - Hifonix 1000 Brutus amp's (1 for each sub)

1X - Audiobhanh 400 (forgot model)

2X - 12' T1 Rockford Fosgate Subs 2ohm

Pioneer Avic N1 Deck

All Round Polk Momo's 6x9's and 6.5's

3.5 cf` ported box facing trunk

Now my problem is that after running these amps for about 1-2 mo. they start to burn out ive already exchanged one yet now again it shits on me.... I noticed that the Fuse on the amp got so hot that it formed a bond with the pice that holds it (soughtered itself basically to the metal...)

I tried everything to pull the darn thing out but it will rather brake in pices then come out at all..( + i bench 350 and i put all my ****ing strength including pliers etc.... sucker wont come out)

Now I have each Amp Wired individually to each sub at a 1 OHM load.

What would be the best setup for this car?

Should i run em in crossover/parallel? or what?

Whats the best way to run them at 2ohm's maybe that will help with longetivity of life of these amplifiers since i can't return the darn things anymore?

Plz i just need the best recommended setup for this if anyone has any ideas let me know your help is greatly appriciated thank you.

Sounds like your losing voltage and pulling WAY too much current. You need a more efficient charging system. I add a bigger alt, Big 3(1/0 wire), plus 1 or 2 more deep cycle batteries. What sizes are your wires and fuses now? Also, to get a little extra money(sell your cap), read my sig.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

k the main wire from the battery feeding the amps is a 4gau the cadi alternator is pretty **** huge i dont know how much better they can get than that. um i have a blue cap battery and 2 caps (i know they dont do shit really).....

So im out of luck im not sure i can replace it with a 3gau but how much diff will that make?

dont know if you need to know this but i noticed that that 4 gau wire gets super HOT! i mean so **** hot......
