wiring lcd screen troubles...

hey i have an lcd screen mounted in place of my bose in my 98 maxima. the problem is i get a lot of engine noise in the picture. i thought it was the ground but when i disconnected the ground, the screen still worked! apparentedly the metal from the screen in grounding it in the mount or something. should i still find a good ground for the actually ground wire or wat should i do. i wana eliminate the annoying static picture. by the wire, revving the engine and putting on my climate control caused like lines in the pic,,.
