wiring kits?

newbbb here, be nice

I had a 500 w wiring kit put in to my car, I just upgraded to a 1000w amp and 2 type r subs....

do I really need to put a brand new amp kit in or will the 500w amp kit work fine?

YESSS!!!! You need a new kit. You cannot make 1000 watts off what I'm assuming is a 8 gauge kit. You need a least a good 4 gauge kit.

Yeah a 4 guage amp kit will be fine, just make sure it's true 4 guage. Just make sure the coating isn't thicker than the copper...that's how they get you
