Wiring Harness

So I was installing a new headunit, and once I got it in my speakers didn't work. So I ran a wire from a speaker directly into the headunit and the speaker would work. Do you think my wiring harness is causing the problem? It's got a whole box to it and everything, I can't find the picture but maybe something is screwed up in it. Also I can't seem to find a replacement on the web, and there aren't many local stores around here.

1994 Ford Thunderbird w/ JBL Premium Sound blah blah blah.

All the ones I find on the web, show a picture of a harness that wouldn't fit =\

The "blah blah blah" includes a factory amplifier that must be turned on or bypassed to make your speakers work. Make sure the blue/white wire in the gray harness is connected to the blue/white wire on your head unit. If your head unit doesn't have a blue/white wire, connect it to the blue wire.
