Wiring harness to Kenwood HU... Need a little help.

Hey folks...

I am replacing the Shaker 500 headunit in my '06 Mustang tomorrow.. and had a question...

Ive wired the replacement headunit (Kenwood XXV-01d) to the Metra wiring harness (Metra 70-5521) with no problems...

On the Metra harness, there are 2 light blue wires labelled "Amp Turn On"

The harness on the Kenwood HU has 2 wires that might be what im looking for, but IM a bit confused by their descriptions:

P.CONT - Power control wire (Blue/White): When using the optional power amplifier, connect to its power control terminal.

EXT CONT - External amplifier control wire (Pink/Black): To "EXT.AMP.CONT" terminal of the amplifier having the external amp control function

Any tips would be very helpful.

Use the P. Cont. wire - this is your head unit's (I have the same one - nice choice!) remote accessory activation output.

The pinkish wire is to access the B.M.S. functions on some of the older eXcelon amplifiers that were equipped with said feature.

Any clue about the 2 "Amp Turn On" wires? Should i wire the headunit P CONT to both of them, or just

pick one and use it? (the two wires are shown in the image above on the left harness with the 2 RCA Plugs)
