wiring from scratch?

How would you go about wiring your system from scratch. Lets say you don't want to use your factory wiring? How would you wire it? I may have to end up doing this since I have a short somewhere, and I would like to use a lil larger wire.

My system is in my sig.

pull up your carpet and plastic panels and run the wire... whats so hard?

Disconnect the battery and take it out. Take out the seats, take outthe dash, take off the door panels, take out the back seats take the carpet out then strip the car of all the audio related wiring, or if you are doing everything then ALL the wiring. then re-do all of it.

run all new wires run a constant from the battery to to hu find a switched for the hu and ground the hu and then run the rcas.power ground rem, and speaker wire
