i have searched the forums and i cant seem to find what i need to know so im going to ask it.

I have a jl 1000/1 on 2 13w6v2's. the amp is running on 4 gauge wire and i want to add a second amp for highs. i will also mention that i have two optima yellow tops, with 4 gauge running between them, then 4 gauge from the second battery to the amp. could i add a 300/4 to the setup without having to replace the 4 gauge from the battery to the battery. or could i just add a 8 gauge cable from the first battery two the second to give it some more juice. thanks for your help

yes i have circuit breakers. one between the two batteries and one between the second battery and the amp. I really want to get rid of the idea of replacing the 4 gauge because i just installed it. what if i just ran some wire from the first battery to another amp. would this be ok. also what if i just ran a 2 channel amp for a set of comp[onents for the front and keep the facvtory speakers in the back. would sound quality in the back seat of a 2002 explorer suffer greatly

will circuit breakers work lol??????

why wouldnt circuit breakers work. i had one in my last install and it worked. it wasnt big enough and it tripped about every other day. so you cant say they dont work.

I would upgrade to at least 2ga all the way through (alt to batt, batt to batt). From there run fused 4 ga to the 1000/1 and 300/4. Nice amps give them the current that they need.
exactly i would do 0ga but its all good. hope they are manual reset breakers bro.
