Wiring for a pair of JL Audio 12w6v2, and box size/type recommendations?

I have a pair of JL Audio 12w6v2 subs with a JL Audio 1000/1v2 amp.

What type of wiring schematic should I use to get the best performance/sound for this set? I was told something about series for this amp. What does that exactlly mean? How about parallel? And what about the ohms? I was told the lower the better?

Also, I need box size specs for the above mentioned pair. I've read alot about sealed boxes, so that's probably what I will end up with, but what measurements should I use, and how thick should the material be?

Lastly if you have any more ideas or recomendations I would glady appreciate them.

there is only one way.. 4 ohms...

EDIT: let me clarify.. that amp is not 1 ohm stable... 1.5-4 ohm stable.. those amps do the same power 11.5-14.4v and 1.5-4ohms..

Box depends on your preferences

It does 1000 watts at 1.5-4 ohms.. it is stable above 4 ohms just won't do full power..

i dont know if 4 CF would be too big or not. on JL.com under the 12w6v2 woofer box recommendations it recommends a 1.5 cf for one sub. if you double that it comes to 3 cf. but 32 hz is what you tune it too.

i had mine at 3.3 after displacement tuned to 33hz

and it was alright? didnt hurt the subs at all? ive seen before that too big of a box can ruin the sub.
