wiring each VC on a D4 to 2 amps?

If you wired each vc on a D4 individually with matching amps(monoblocks) what would the final ohms be?

And are there any pro/cons wiring a sub this way?

Need an answer here would like to pick up a pair of 1000watt 10's for EBB

and Im looking at SSA icon or DC lvl4's and maybe the Mach5's.

It would be cheaper for me to just add 2 more Xenon 600.1's but if I need more

juice Ill add 4 Xenon 1200.1's if I have too.

Obviously Id like to stay with PG but if wiring each vc independantly is not

recommended then I need to know before I start dropping cash.

What would be the final ohm load on a d2 or d1?

So you want to use 4 amps and 2 DVC subs with one coil per amp.. ?

If they are dual 1 subs, then each amp will see 1ohm..

I don't know if it's just me, but running 4 amps for a pair of subs doesn't sound the wisest decision...

ditto. i think thatd be more expensive than just 1 big amp. not to mention space.

all in all, its just not efficient

check and find out if they are strappable...if so it would be at 2 ohms...so wire a dual 1 in series pair of strapped amps.....would be 2400 @ 2 ohm per sub (and 2 amps strapped)....LIKE I SAID TALK TO PHOENIX GOLD before attempting.

well each amp would only be seeing 4ohms if the subs are dual 4 ohms. so you wouldnt even be getting full power out of them. you will get a better and smarter answer if you posted the type of sub and voice coils your dealing with. this is not a smart idea...

No they are not thats why I was wondering about wiring each vc independently.

But if the Maxxlink can link up to 5 amps problem solved regardless of strappable

The Maxxonics website description has no mention of the amps having to

be strappable just that the unit is universal works in a master and slave config.
