Wiring DVC Sub

If you wire a single dvc sub as a 2 ohm load, 4 ohm load , or a 8 ohm load would the power getting to them be cut in half as the ohms load goes up???

( ex. 1000watts @ 2ohms, 500w @ 4ohm, 250w @ 8ohms )

If so, would there be any advantage to getting a single dvc sub over a svc sub if the amp can't handle a bridged 2 ohm load???

Thanks,

Matt

power ratings change based on what the amp will put out at that impedance it doesnt always work in exact increments like that.....basically you should be getting whatever sub can be wired to the final impedance you desire that is the only advantage
