Wiring Dual Voice Coils Independently

I currently have my Kicker CVR 15 Dual 2ohm sub hooked up to my Audiobahn A8002V 2ch. amp. It is wired with each voice coil going to a seperate channel. If it is wired independently like this is it pulling a 4ohm total load from the amp? Im guessing so cause 2+2should=4.

I am also just worried about over powering the sub but I was told my amp wont do nearly the 1600 watt peak it is said to. The amp is 400RMS at 4ohms and sub is 500RMS so there should be no way to really over power it should there? Anything else I should know? Thanks Alot

alright lol im trying to get a new amp soon hopefully a good kicker. Didnt know what I was buying when I bought the audiobahn.

your amp is runnig 2 ohm stereo......leave it that way
