Hey guys, ive been workin on my electrical system so i can finally get my system installed and i just wanna make sure this is right so far. I have a yellowtop up front and just installed my iraggi 220 alt today. Im getting ready to do my wiring upgrades and thought id check with some of you first.

1/0 runs -

Alt. charging post -> to front battery positive ( optional fuse)

Alt. housing case -> to frame not sheet metal right?

front battery negative -> to frame?

engine block -> frame?

front battery positive -> battery#2 positive ( fused within 18" of both batteries)

front battery negative -> battery#2 negative

battery#2 positive -> battery#3 positive

battery#2 negative -> battery#3 negative

battery#2 negative -> frame

battery#3 negative -> frame

Battery #2 and 3 are both kinetik 2400's sitting side by side so i dont plan to fuse between them.

I was gonna use a distro block to run the 4g from to each of my 3 amps, but they are so close to the kinetiks that i think i may just run direct runs from each battery...thoughts? Then i will find a solid ground for each amp, also on the frame?

This will all be powering my daily system consisting of:

eclipse cd7000

hertz 6.5" high energy front stage

2- FI BL's fully loaded

2 - sundown 1500d strapped

1- sudown 100/4

Thoughts, comments, concerns? Just want to make sure i get everything right. Im loving the hands on experience and the self gratification of doing things myself this time around!

I believe the fuse between alt and battery should be mandatory, not optional.

If I'm not mistaken, those are both grounding the engine so you don't have to do both steps.

The fuse between the battery and alt should be located closer to the battery or the alt? Also how do you select the fuse size?

I have a question as well a little off topic but not really. If I make a 0ga runform alt to battery can I leave the fused origional fused line as well? I don't want to disect my trucks wiring harness to rmeove the wire, but I don't know what the fuse on that line is rated at nor do I believe it is replacable.

Might wanna use a T there to save on runs.... not sure if that would limit your current though....

Ur running 2 2400s.....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif so then again, u might need all the runs for w/e u got planned!

I believe it's supposed to be closer to the battery.

And yeah you can leave the stock wiring in place.

Also to ground your amps, if it's easier you can just wire them right to the negative post on one of those batteries //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
