Wiring Config

My friend just picked up an xtant amp to power a pair of kenwood 10's.

Will it sound better if I wire it

2 x 100 @ 2 ohm

or 1 x 200 @ 4 ohm

Its not stable bridges @ 2 ohm so theres nothing to worry about there.

Will one config sound better than the other?(since they're the same power outputs)

It doesn't really matter either way, as long as u can get the correct load with ur voice coil confguration. What config are each of those subs...you may only be able to wire them one of those ways. I doubt those kenwoods are svc 2ohm...most likely they are svc 4 ohm. If they are svc 4 ohm, the ur pretty much screwed. BUT, let us know...peace

You will not be sending much power to each sub then. You will be sendin each channel a 4 ohm load. You were getting a 100 watts each channel at 2 ohm. So now your getting less than that. Whats the rms on the sub?
