Wiring comps with 4 channel amp....help?

Can anyone help?

I am wondering if I need to wire the left side tweets to ch. 1 and, right side tweets to ch.2 and then left mids to Ch.3 and the righ mids to ch.4.... or just hook up front left tweet and mid to ch. 1 and do the same for the rest.

I guess my ? is do I wire tweets separate or with the mids?

Well to do it properly without an active crossover will your amp do high pass at around 5Khz for your tweets? Some amps have a 10X multiplier for the xover and most of the time they are only on either the front or rear of the amp.

if you were to use the crossover built into the amp yes you would just wire the tweeter to channel to 1 and 2 and adjust the frequency and mids to channels 3 and 4 and adjust frequency.

I've never known anyone to do this. you may also want to check to see what your crossover frequencies are before doing this to make sure the frequencies are acceptable for your tweets.

I'd look into an Audiocontrol 6XS or something before using the crossover on the amp. But we all have our own things.

I am using the JBL stock HU and I am ordering a Premier deh 980BT to run everything. Then I can use the xover n the deck to run my system. It is difficult to wire my system because I have a 4 channel amp and 2 sets of comps. The Tundra came set up like this and I replaced the stock JBL comps (crap) with aftermarket.
