Wiring Alpine Type-X subs

I have 2 12" alpine type-X subwoofers that i just bought and im getting an amp for them and i was looking through the manual to find a way to wire them @ 1 ohm. (they are 4OHM DVC subs) All the manual said i could wire them as was @ 2 ohms or 8 ohms. i did some research and this popped up.

well the manual is correct, with a single dvc 4 driver you can only wire it to 2 or 8 ohms

but with a pair you can do 1, 4, or 16

so if you wire them like the picture you will have a 1 ohm final load for the amp.
