Wiring Advice needed...

So, I have bitten the bullet and am upgrading my system from a single L5 12 and 9105D Amp.

Just bought a SAE1200dv2 and 2x SA 12's and Im starting to look at the electrical side now. Would post some pics, but don't have them yet... lol

Currently running off an older Yellow top under the hood and stock 130alt, 4 gauge all around.

What would you guys recommend as far as wiring/power options go.... Just to get me up and running for the time being.... This will be for a daily driver, not a competition ride.

I don't have a mega bank to bankroll this, so I will have to do it in small parts, however, everything will get done eventually...

Thanks for the advice as always, and Im super excited and hope this setup will destroy my old setup... While never worring if my car is gonna start the next day lol.

 
If you already have the big three in 4g and a agm deepcycle it sounds like your good to go maybe double check all connections make sure there still clean/shiny and all wires are tight, other then that for 1200w rms sounds like your set!

 
I agree 1200 is enough to need upgrades in order to perform well but if you have the big 3 already then there is little to worry about. I would however look into that yellowtop. If it was made before interstate bought them out then your good but if not, I would consider a different battery

 
Bump for new question vrs making new thread...

1st. Can ground your amp to your main battery? (Prepping for possible need of 2nd battery, so I only have to rip the interior apart once)

A: Any pros/cons that that method? Don't wanna pop a fuse soon as its all connected lol...

B: Any issues with running the 1/0 P and G next to each other under the carpet?

2nd: Anybody know/ Mind linking some terminals that accept 2x 1/0 2x 8 gauge inputs? (One for Big3, One for Amp- 2x 8 gauge for car...lol) I can never tell by the pics, just wanted to be 101% sure...

1. Yes

1A. I consider it superior so long as that battery has a good ground connection.

1B. Not at all

2. Check Amp Installation Kits, HDMI Cables
