Wiring a second battery, best ground options?

I'm about to hook up a second battery, the only real question I have is about the ground. Would it work to run a ground from the battery and then the amp ground to the ground at the battery? Pic to explain better then words. View attachment 26528783

just run a dedicated ground from your front to back battery and ground your amp(s) at the rear battery.

Dont have enough wire actually :| but would it work the way I mentioned?

yeah it will work. just COULD cause ground issues. possibly but not definite.

amp cutting out, engine whine, ground loop issues. what kind of car? and the place where the rear battery would be grounded too, is it the floor? a seatbelt bolt? what are you going to ground it too in the rear?

I just grounded mine to a bolt that holds the seat down. No issues

Did the same, just drove around and played for a while, seems to be working fine.
